The "Orders"

Sprout will be leaving us for at least a year.

Sigh!

His orders say he should report to "Far-Far-Away" in a couple of months. He was hoping to stay state-side for a while, but he is handling this news like a trooper. This young man has endured more changes in his life in the last six months than in all of his 20 years.

He will come of age in a foreign country. Two of his cousins will become parents while he is gone. Thanksgiving and Christmas will still be held even though he is not here. Who knows what other monumental things he may miss? But he looks at it as an opportunity to do something he has never done before. An adventure.

This stoic Mom is losing some of her stoicocity. The roller coaster ride begins.

I will send him off with many prayers which so far, have really been working well.
