He Calls With Word of Snow

It's snowing in Armyland. My southern son is enjoying something that many in this country take for granted and even loath. Snow. He has only seen snow once or twice in his young life and never in any noticeable quantity. He says the yankees are getting a kick out of watching the deep-southerners get so excited at the sight of snow. I hope it holds his fascination for a while and he doesn't get tired of the cold. I hope snow never loses it's uniqueness for him.

Here He Is!

Wow! It's been almost a month since I've posted. That's no way to run a website. Well, here's the picture that I promised. Sprout has graduated, been home for a most delightful southern Christmas (with snow and sleet on Christmas day no less...a miracle) and moved on to greener pastures and has started his military life. He fights homesickness and the stress of it all, but basically is surviving well. He's a stunning young man, he'll do fine. I'll try to continue this site with news of his adventures and maybe keep my sanity in the process.
